The Florida Everglades are a natural area situated between Orlando and the southern tip of the Florida peninsula. They run along the Gulf Coast just south of Naples Florida.

The Everglades National Park is home to 350 species of birds and 50 species of reptiles.

The Gulf Coast Visitor Center is located on State Road 29 near Everglades City.  Visitors can access the Wilderness Waterway, a 160 km canoe trail that leads to the Flamingo Visitors center.

Everglades National Park can also be accessed from the Miami area.
